In order to meet customer requirements for performance, cost and time-to-market, we focus on three basic principles: process optimization for high throughput, high level of in-process control, and rapid technology and product development directly in the production environment. Dedicated experts pursue alternative pathways to achieving higher value, better performing and lower cost solutions.
Collaborative, multi-disciplined and third-party teaming to validate, down-select and implement best ideas and next steps.

High level list of key patent areas

  1. AZUR SPACE aims primarily at a defensive patent portfolio strategy, to protect current and future products and core technologies with layered patent families, focusing on core know-how, particularly with MOCVD epitaxy and related products.  Blatant violations of patent intellectual property however, will be vigorously pursued.
  2. AZUR SPACE maintains internal dedicated Patent Office, which manages the internal IP review board, ongoing applications and external legal patent resources.
  3. AZUR SPACE files patents not only in Germany, but with the EU, the U.S.A. and elsewhere depending on market pull, customer needs and competitive assessments.   Business domains for these patents include Photovoltaics, Power Electronics and Opto Electronics.
  4. Within Space Photovoltaics exclusively, AZUR SPACE has 50 patent families, with more than 160 currently issued patents and more than 80 additional active patent applications filed.
